Columbia Police Department officers had been searching for Sims since Christmas week however, they were unable track him down. The officers were able to arrest Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory after the fact of murder related to Sims the death of. According to authorities, Eddie Brown (aged 30) is suspected of being an accessory to the death of Sims. Sims, 26, was last seen on Dec. 20 in Columbia on Ervin Street in Columbia. Police say that Sims his girlfriend Wardlaw reported him missing Dec. 22. The body was found near a stream off Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, verified that the body was that of Sims. Skip Holbrook, Chief of Columbia Police says Wardlaw has been charged with murder aswell being a firearm owner in the commission of a violent crime. Police report that Sims was fatally shot multiple times. Sims was shot multiple times. Columbia Police Department released the following tweet , in which they asked the public to help.
